What exactly can the WP Toolkit do?
The WP Toolkit is the central management for all your WordPress installations: you back up and clone websites, test changes in a staging copy and check security with a click. Migrating existing WordPress sites is built in as well.
Can I run several WordPress sites in parallel?
Yes, there is no limit here. Only the WP Toolkit can include and manage no more WordPress sites than the maximum possible in your plan.
What is staging?
Staging is a 1:1 copy of your live site on a separate domain or subdomain in the same hosting package. It lets you test updates, plugin configurations or theme changes in advance without risk and without affecting your live site.
How do I migrate an existing WordPress site?
In the WP Toolkit you can click “Migration”, enter the source URL and your existing credentials. Files, database and configuration are taken over automatically. If you prefer not to migrate your WordPress site yourself, we offer our Migration Service, free of charge for private customers.
Do I need a cache plugin?
No. The WordPress cache is integrated directly in the LiteSpeed web server and maintained by us, without a plugin and without configuration.
What is the backup strategy?
We back up your entire webspace once a day. This includes all files, databases, mailboxes and the configuration. We keep the backup for 7 days. A restore is available free of charge on request via our support. In addition, you can also back up your website yourself, e.g. before updates or changes you make yourself.
Can you move my existing WordPress website?
Yes, we handle the move for you, free of charge for private customers. You find all details on our Migration Service page.
Can I run an online shop with WooCommerce?
Yes, WooCommerce runs on every WordPress plan. For shops we recommend our WooCommerce Hosting with appropriately sized resources.
