Information on prices, contract terms and VAT

Which prices and which notice periods apply, briefly explained.

Summary

All prices shown on hostworld.de are end-customer prices including 19% VAT (German tax rate). For private customers residing in another EU country, we adjust the VAT on the invoice to the rate of that country. For customers outside the EU, the prices shown are net.

Full version

In accordance with Directive 2006/112/EC as amended, final prices for private customers within the EU may vary depending on the country of residence, because the country-specific VAT of the respective country of residence is applied. The prices stated in the offers include VAT for the Federal Republic of Germany (currently 19%). If the place of residence is outside Germany, the VAT of the respective country of residence is adjusted accordingly on the invoice. For customers outside the EU, the prices stated are net, without VAT.

What does this mean for me?

Private customer residing in Germany

The price shown is the final gross price you pay.

Private customer residing in another EU country

The VAT on the invoice is adjusted to the rate of your country of residence. Example: a private customer from Austria pays the plan with the VAT rate applicable there (currently 20%).

Business customer with a valid VAT ID outside Germany

Reverse charge procedure: your VAT ID is verified during checkout, after which you receive the invoice net, without VAT. You report the VAT yourself in your country.

Contract term and cancellation

Which notice period applies and what happens after the minimum term ends depends on whether you order as a private customer or as a business. The decisive provision is section 9.1 of the Terms and Conditions.

Private customer

You cancel with a notice period of 7 days to the end of the respective term. If you do not cancel, the contract continues for an indefinite period and can then be canceled at any time with 7 days' notice. No new commitment arises. The discounts for term and payment method no longer apply once the contract continues. From then on, the plan's base price applies.

Businesses, public authorities and public institutions

The notice period is 30 days to the end of the term. If you do not cancel in time, the contract is extended by the same term.

SSL certificates (prepaid)

For SSL, the terms of the respective SSL certificate apply. The general contract continuation described above is not the same as optional contract renewal from your account balance. You can check and change whether automatic renewal from your balance is enabled in the Customer Menu. A free certificate reissue within the paid period does not extend that period.
