Choosing your certificate
For your blog, company website or online shop, a certificate for one address is often enough. GoGetSSL Domain SSL is the starting point.
Your shop might use shop.example.com and your customer area kunden.example.com. A wildcard certificate covers these subdomains of the same domain together.
You want to secure example.com, example.net and another domain name together. A multi-domain certificate combines these addresses in one certificate.
Good to know: Our WebHosting already includes free Let's Encrypt SSL certificates. These are enough for many websites. If you need company validation or a particular certificate, we can help you choose the right addition.

Keeping your connection protected
You book your SSL certificate for twelve months. The certificate itself has an earlier expiry date. Like an identity document, it needs a valid replacement in time. Reissuing is free within your paid period.
The annual price covers twelve months. The separately offered 90-day certificate is the exception. During the paid twelve months, required reissues do not incur another certificate charge.
Request the reissue in good time. GoGetSSL currently specifies a maximum validity of 198 days per certificate. You may need to confirm your domain or company details again.
You or your server administrator install the new certificate so your website can continue to offer a valid HTTPS connection. This does not start a new contract year or change the end date of your paid period.
As of September 2026. Always check the expiry date of the issued certificate. Certificate authority requirements may reduce the permitted validity further in future.
