Honest up front

You install Shopware yourself, on a suitable foundation

Shopware 6 is a full-featured store system with clear requirements for its environment: a current PHP version, MySQL/MariaDB, cron jobs for the queue and enough storage for catalog, media and search index. Our WebHosting plans deliver exactly this foundation. We deliberately do not offer a one-click installation for Shopware. You install via Composer or the official web installer.

In return, you know exactly what runs on your web space afterwards and how it is configured. SSH access is part of every plan. If you have questions about the setup, you can reach us directly.

When the store grows

The next step: VPS or Managed Server

If your store outgrows WebHosting, for example with Elasticsearch or permanently high load, you have two options: a VPS gives you root access for your own services, a Managed Server additionally takes the administration off your hands, both on servers in Germany. We offer Redis as an object cache with Managed Hosting or a Managed Server.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions about Shopware hosting

Are the Shopware system requirements met?
Yes. Shopware 6 needs a current PHP version, MySQL/MariaDB and cron jobs, all part of our WebHosting plans. For a production store we recommend WebHosting Max with 500 GB NVMe and 2048 MB memory_limit.
Is there a one-click installation for Shopware?
No. Shopware is not part of the application installer (there you find OpenCart and PrestaShop, among others). You install Shopware manually via Composer or the official web installer. We provide the environment for it.
Which plan is right for my store?
Shopware runs from WebHosting Plus (200 GB, €10.95 / month). For stores with a growing catalog we recommend WebHosting Max: 500 GB of storage and 2048 MB memory_limit leave room for images, search index and extensions.
When does a VPS or Managed Server make sense?
If your store has permanently high load, needs additional services such as Elasticsearch, or you want full control over the stack, a VPS with root access is the next step. There you install what you need yourself. We offer Redis as an object cache with Managed Hosting or a Managed Server. A Managed Server additionally takes the complete administration off your hands.
Can you migrate an existing Shopware store?
Yes. For private customers we handle the migration free of charge, business customers receive a quote based on scope. For stores this includes the database, media and an agreed maintenance window.
Which Shopware version is supported?
All current Shopware 6 versions whose PHP requirements are covered by our selectable versions. Shopware 5 has reached end of support. For new installations we recommend Shopware 6.
