How does the installation work?
From click to live app
- 1Open the Web Interface
Sign in via single sign-on from the Customer Menu or with the credentials from your order confirmation. You land directly on the domain overview.
- 2Choose the app in the application installer
The application installer lists all 17 applications, filtered by category or searched by name (e.g. “WordPress”).
- 3Choose the domain, set the admin details, click “Install”
You enter the target domain, path, administrator login and email. The Web Interface creates the database, account and SSL automatically.
- 4The app is available, database and account are set up automatically
After 30 to 90 seconds the installation is active. You can sign in to the backend of the new application right away and get started.

Frequently asked questions about the application installer
Does the application installer cost extra?
No. It is included in every WebHosting plan, regardless of how many applications you install.
Is the application installer also available with WordPress Hosting or Managed Hosting?
No. The application installer belongs to the Web Interface of the WebHosting plans. WordPress Hosting and Managed Hosting run on Plesk, where you install and manage WordPress via the WP Toolkit.
What happens in the background during an installation?
The installer creates the database, sets up the administrator account and issues the SSL certificate. You only enter the domain, path and credentials. After 30 to 90 seconds the application is reachable.
Can I run several applications on one domain?
Yes. You choose a path during installation, so for example a different application can run under /shop than on the home page.
Who takes care of updates?
You update the application itself the way you are used to, most applications bring their own function for that. We take care of the foundation: server, PHP and database.
Can I also install an application by hand?
Yes. The installer is an offer, not a restriction. Via FTP and the database management you can set up any application yourself.
